Modern Organic Design in Houghton

This Kirkland townhouse kitchen remodel represents a sophisticated evolution of space, transitioning from a fragmented, dated layout into a cohesive modern organic masterpiece. Nestled in the sought-after Houghton neighborhood, the original structure suffered from a restrictive floor plan that inhibited natural light and social flow. Our team reimagined the architectural footprint, replacing a narrow pass-through with our signature softly arched opening. This strategic structural modification not only enhances sightlines across the main level but also establishes an immediate sense of spatial harmony, allowing the townhouse to breathe with a newfound sense of openness.

The material palette was meticulously curated to achieve a balance of texture and tone, centering on high-contrast custom cabinetry. We paired the rich, grounding warmth of natural walnut bases with minimalist white uppers to visually expand the room's volume. A sculptural plaster-style hood serves as the kitchen’s focal point, providing a tactile, artisanal quality that complements the sleek MSI Soli Taj Quartz countertops. By extending the quartz into a full-height backsplash, we eliminated visual noise, creating a seamless, monochromatic canvas that highlights the subtle, sophisticated veining of the stone.

Functionality meets high-end interior architecture through the integration of premium brass hardware and designer lighting, which act as the "jewelry" of the space. Every element of this Houghton kitchen renovation was selected for both its aesthetic longevity and its durability for everyday luxury. The final result is a refined townhouse transformation that marries Kirkland’s contemporary lifestyle with timeless design principles. Through intentional layout optimization and a layered material approach, we have delivered a kitchen that is as much a work of art as it is the functional heart of the home.

Organic Modern Kitchen Reimagined in Northern Juanita

This striking mid-century–inspired kitchen transformation completely reimagines a once-closed and dated layout within this Juanita, Kirkland Townhouse. The original kitchen was typical of many older homes in the desirable Juanita neighborhood: tucked behind restrictive walls, which severely limited the flow of the main level and obstructed the light coming from the existing window. Heavy, dark countertops and bulky upper cabinets created a cramped, disconnected space. Our expert Kirkland interior design team began this home renovation by strategically removing walls and widening sightlines. This critical structural change instantly allowed the existing window’s light to penetrate deep into the first floor, ensuring the Juanita kitchen became the bright, open, and design-forward centerpiece this Kirkland residence deserved, perfectly setting the stage for an organic modern aesthetic.
