Organic Modern Kitchen Reimagined in Northern Juanita

This striking mid-century–inspired kitchen transformation completely reimagines a once-closed and dated layout within this Juanita, Kirkland Townhouse. The original kitchen was typical of many older homes in the desirable Juanita neighborhood: tucked behind restrictive walls, which severely limited the flow of the main level and obstructed the light coming from the existing window. Heavy, dark countertops and bulky upper cabinets created a cramped, disconnected space. Our expert Kirkland interior design team began this home renovation by strategically removing walls and widening sightlines. This critical structural change instantly allowed the existing window’s light to penetrate deep into the first floor, ensuring the Juanita kitchen became the bright, open, and design-forward centerpiece this Kirkland residence deserved, perfectly setting the stage for an organic modern aesthetic.
