Houghton Kitchen Transformation
This kitchen remodel in Houghton, a desirable neighborhood near the Google Kirkland campus, involved a complete transformation of a dated and dysfunctional space. The homeowners, a family of three, that recently bought this house, desired a modern but still timeless kitchen design that maximized natural light and functionality. Our team reimagined the layout, relocating the kitchen to the center of the home to create a family-friendly hub for cooking, dining, and gathering. This strategic move opened up the floor plan and improved the flow of the home, creating a more welcoming and spacious atmosphere.

To combat the often-grey skies of the Pacific Northwest, we incorporated two large windows, flooding the new kitchen with natural light. This not only enhances the ambiance but also contributes to a healthier and more vibrant living environment. Knowing they wanted a kitchen with lasting appeal and strong resale value in this high-demand area, the homeowners selected classic white shaker cabinets. These cabinets provide a clean and versatile backdrop for the more distinctive features of the kitchen, including glass-front cabinets and a stunning waterfall edge countertop that extends along the length of the peninsula.
